Gary Moran, Head of Aviation, Asia, AON
Gary is responsible for leading client service, business development, and Insurance/Reinsurance placement throughout Asia. Gary has extensive experience of management and insurance of risk in the airline, aerospace and general aviation industry.
Gary joined Aon in Singapore in 2009 following a posting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Since then Gary has been responsible for leading Aon’s regional Aviation specialty working closely with Specialty Broking colleagues and our global aviation leaders within Aon.
In June 2017, Gary was elected to the position of Vice Chairman of the Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA). AsBAA is a non-profit organization that seeks to promote and provide a platform for communication & awareness of Business Aviation’s contribution to the regional economies. AsBAA represents approximately 160 entities based in Asia and around the world.
Gary is a member of the Embry Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) advisory board for Asia, working towards helping the aviators of tomorrow find their first steps into the industry and realise their career goals in aviation.
In addition, Gary is a member of the Irish Chamber of Commerce, Singapore Board of Directors.
Gary is married with three children and whilst no Tiger Woods, he enjoys the odd round of golf and also coaches Junior Rugby at Centaurs Sports.
