Sofia Sofia, Business Development Manager, CAE
Graduated from UAE with a Bachelor of Science in Computers. Sofia started her aviation career at Dubai Civil Aviation, as Flight Operations Officer, managing Air Operator Certificates approvals.
She holds an Australian commercial license, multi engine and type rated on Citation II/IV. After briefly flying corporate jets in Australia, she moved to Canada to work with NGOs like IATA and ICAO.
Sofia currently works at CAE as Business Development Manager for their digital training portfolios (CAERise). At the industry level she is actively involved in raising awareness for the greater use of training intelligence gathering tools to develop risk-based training programs.
To this purpose she led the development of CAERise’s Metric Based Insights (MBI) and pioneered the term ‘MBI’. A proprietary system that collects training data from simulators to support instructor assessment and drive insights to improving the learning experience for both pilot trainees and instructors.
