Peter Coles is a Partner and Head of Clyde & Co's Aviation Practice in Asia Pacific. He is recognised as the longest serving aviation lawyer in Hong Kong and a leading individual specialising in aviation law across multiple jurisdictions.

With over 28 years' experience working for the aviation industry, he handles a broad range of legal advice to the business aviation sector and all of their insurers across Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas.  He advises on a broad range of matters including regulatory, commercial, employment, insolvency and enforcement matters, contingency planning, emergency response, health and safety prosecutions, multi-jurisdictional catastrophe and attritional claims (passenger, cargo, aircraft damage etc.) handling. Peter regularly advises on coroner inquests and prosecutions; plaintiff and defence work in uninsured disputes including asset preservation and injunctions, debt recoveries and bankruptcy proceedings; incident/accident response; government investigations, reports and public enquiries; and contingency planning.
