The Hong Kong Business Aviation Centre (HKBAC) Limited is Asia’s Premier Fixed-Base Operator (FBO) for business aircraft situated at the Hong Kong International Airport since 1998, providing highly efficient aircraft handling and support services in general and business aviation. Apart from its premier location advantage (at an international aviation hub of Asia and a leading gateway to the Greater Bay Area, China), HKBAC is renowned for its commitment to maintaining the highest standard of safety and service in style, and has received continuous industry recognition – HKBAC has been awarded the Best Asian FBO again by the Professional Pilot magazine in 2021 for an unprecedented 14 years in a roll, as well as being recognized by Aviation International News as the Most Improved FBO in 2021. In the midst of unprecedented & prolonged pandemic, business at HKBAC continued to be impacted in the year under review. Nevertheless, the Group remains committed to further investing in the company to upgrade and grow future business. In Apr 2021, HKBAC has signed a $400 million expansion agreement with the Airport Authority Hong Kong to upgrade facilities, demonstrating its confidence in the prospect of the aviation business in the long run.
Christopher Lee Barrow, Director of Flight Operations, Hong Kong Business Aviation Centre Ltd
Mr. Barrow joined HKBAC in 2014 and is currently appointed as the Director of Flight Operations where he is responsible for overseeing the Centre of Operations, Line Service Department and Safety, Standards & Security Departments. In this role, Mr. Barrow is committed to improving smooth ramp operations whilst ensuring the company is constantly enhancing safety standards. With this in mind and Safety being a core component of HKBAC, Mr. Barrow has overseen the implementation of the International Standard of Business Aviation Handling (IS-BAH), from entry level until Stage 3 Accreditation received in August 2021. Mr. Barrow currently serves as a Board of Governor at Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA) and also on the IS-BAH Standards Board for the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) to ensure HKBAC is in alignment with International Operational and Safety Standards.
Prior to joining HKBAC, Mr. Barrow held various roles within Signature Flight Support where he developed his passion for business aviation. Chris has over 20 years of experience in aviation, focusing primarily in the business aviation sector. Areas of expertise include ground operations as well as leadership, customer service and people management.
